Search Page

The Search page has six individual sections for easier and faster access to pre-loaded search queries. Each of the sections include a filter that you use to enter at least one search term that displays the results that match or include the search term.

My Search History

My Search History contains a list of most recent search queries. You can click on any past search to load it into the search bar. Logpoint immediately displays the results for the selected query, saving you time and effort in re-entering search terms.

My Saved Searches

My Saved Searches contains a list of search queries you’ve saved in Logpoint. You can click on any saved search to load it into the search bar. Logpoint immediately displays the results for the selected saved search. You need to save frequently used search queries so you can quickly access and run them without re-typing. Go to Adding a Search Package for more information.

Search Templates

Search Templates contains a list of search templates created in Logpoint. Clicking on a template opens the search template page. Go to Creating a Search Template for more information. To update the parameters of the previously created template:

  1. Enter the new values in Update Parameters.

  2. Select the required Repos.

  3. Click Update.

Labels

Labels contains a list of predefined labels assigned while writing signatures for the logs. You can click on a label to load it into the search bar. Logpoint will then display the results for the selected label.

Vendor Searches

Vendor Searches contains a list of search queries specific to third party vendors. You can click on a vendor search query to load it into the search bar. Logpoint will display the results for the selected query.

Search Views

Search Views lists a maximum of 20 recently created views. You can click on any of the added Search Views from the list, or select All search views to view the search results. To add a Search View, go to Adding a Search View.
